Blood River Reopens

In the western part of Heaven Dou Continent, within the Holy Spirit Empire, an enormous formation had already taken shape.

This time, the formation was not set inside a cave, but upon a vast plain.

A great number of soul masters had gathered around the formation's perimeter. Half were Evil Soul Masters from the Holy Spirit Cult, while the other half were Black Demon Society soul masters wearing masks.

Bone Emperor, Mysterious Emperor, Devil Emperor, and Heavenly Emperor—four of the Seven Emperors of the Holy Spirit Cult had arrived. On the Black Demon Society's side, four of the seven Purple-Masked Demon Kings had also come.

Aside from them, there was another unexpected presence.

The Demon God, Alba.

At the altar in the center of the formation stood, naturally, the Demon Lord Wu Jie.

This operation was a collaboration between the Holy Spirit Cult, the Black Demon Society, Hell, and the Abyss.

Although the core of the Blood River God Slaying Array remained intact, restarting it would still require enduring Heaven's Punishment. The Demon Plane had a limited number of experts, so they needed the strength of the Abyss, the Holy Spirit Cult, and the Black Demon Society.

In exchange, they would help the Abyss open a channel and, after Wu Jie achieved his breakthrough, hand the formation over to the Holy Spirit Cult and the Black Demon Society. With the demons' specialized contracts in place, none of the parties could pull any tricks after crossing the river.

Thus, the plan proceeded quietly.
