Background and History
The Universe Sea nurtures World Beasts only after extraordinarily long eras. Their power opposes divine power, and a fully emerged World Beast threatens Small Universes, Holy Land Universes, and even the Original Universe. Earlier Holy Land Universes were destroyed by World Beasts 742.
The generation in the Dim Land begins with one billion first-order World Beasts. They hunt and devour one another until a final survivor becomes king. Their nest lies in the Dim Land, the core region of Qingfeng Realm; Morosa and Menluo are among the World Beasts Wang Yi encounters there 745 746 747.
Wang Yi later gains control of a first-order World Beast named Burning Prison through a sign-in reward. It shares his consciousness but not his soul, and neither its death nor Wang Yi's would directly kill the other. Wang Yi helps it hunt rival World Beasts while concealing their connection 747 748 813. Burning Prison ultimately becomes king, destroys the Purple Moon and East Emperor Holy Land Universes, and devours universes across the Three Thousand Dimensional Universe Sea while sparing Wang Yi's Universe Sea 815 816.
On the Origin Continent, World Beasts are hunted as a common threat. A group of World Beast Kings instead hides in the Void Abyss, concealing their identities and operating under Palace Master Tantai's leadership. Other World Beasts have been enslaved by powerful cultivators, including Purple Wood God King's World Beast, Theodore 923 952 955.
Appearance
An ordinary World Beast is described as a black, two-headed creature with a destructive aura; the completed king has a markedly different, flawless form 746 815.
- Ordinary form: Two hands, two feet, and two heads—one facing forward and one backward. Each head has a single eye; neither has ears or eyebrows 746.
- Burning Prison at sixth order: Black body marked with more complex blood-red patterns and a horn on its forehead 813.
- Burning Prison as king: Fair skin, one head, two eyes, and two upward-curving white horns. It can change its appearance and aura 815.
Abilities and Skills
Destructive energy
World Beast energy annihilates divine power on contact, although the World Beast's own energy is consumed in the exchange. World Beasts can also launch soul attacks 742 746.
- Their power can directly erode a fighter's divine body despite defensive armor 744.
- A large divine body, strong will, and soul protection improve an opponent's chances of enduring their attacks 742 744.
Survival and domain abilities
- Black Mist: Can bind a target inside a cocoon. Menluo uses it against Wang Yi, who escapes first by tearing through it and later by using the Tomb Ship 746.
- World Light Domain: A fourth-order ability that strengthens the World Beast within its area while affecting enemies 748.
- Ten Million Clones: A sixth-order survival ability; destroying one clone has little effect if another survives 748.
Devouring and the inner *Jie*
- World Beasts grow by devouring their own kind; a sufficiently valuable victim can accelerate advancement beyond the usual step-by-step struggle 747 748.
- They can devour universe origins. Burning Prison uses this power to destroy the Purple Moon Holy Land Universe 815.
- A king's inner Jie stores energy and can break down swallowed treasures into materials for breeding World Beast Warriors. At Chaos Master level, Burning Prison can begin breeding batches of up to 10,081 Eternal True God-level warriors, given sufficient resources and one Reincarnation Era 839 840.
Formless and Shapeless
A World Beast King can alter its body and aura. Burning Prison takes the appearance of a gray-robed youth after becoming king 815.
