Shamu nodded knowingly. No wonder.
"Our Uchiha Clan has become independent from Konoha. We've now established a new country."
"It's called the Land of Radiance, and its main population consists of our Uchiha clansmen."
Indra snorted. "You actually lost to the Senju Clan again. What kind of clan leader are you?"
Shamu raised a finger and shook it.
"You're wrong. Other than Hashirama's granddaughter, the Senju Clan has already been wiped out."
"And our Uchiha Clan has grown to over four thousand people."
"Oh!?" Indra froze for a moment, then burst into laughter.
"Good, good, good!"
Indra looked at Shamu with undisguised admiration.
The more ancient a person was, the more importance they placed on population.
Tell Indra how many powerful Uchiha there were, and he would not have much of a reaction.
But tell him their population was thousands of times greater than their opponent's, and he would think you were impressive.
Besides, only one member of the Senju Clan remained. That was no different from extermination.
"You're a better clan leader than Madara."
Shamu gave an elegant little bow.
"I'm honored by the praise. I fully deserve it."
Indra: "..."
Shamu's complete lack of humility actually made Indra rather like him.
"Will Asura continue reincarnating?"
Shamu could not tell whether Indra was asking him or asking himself.
Shamu shook his head. "What do you think?"
Indra did not answer.
Instead, he changed the subject.
"Do you think the world should be ruled by power, or by love and bonds?"
Shamu twitched his lips. After all these years, Indra still remembered that?
"Did getting beaten make you stupid? The world has always been ruled by power."
Indra snorted. "That was what I thought back then too, and I still lost..."
Shamu spread his hands. "You were just too naïve.
