Only by living long enough could one do whatever one wanted.

One would not be unable to fulfill the dreams in one's heart simply because life was too short.

Black Zetsu had spent over a thousand years plotting. Regardless of the outcome or how many detours he had taken, he had succeeded in the end.

If Black Zetsu had not lived so long, how could Kaguya Otsutsuki possibly have appeared?

As long as someone pursued immortality, Orochimaru thought more highly of them.

Orochimaru excitedly stuck out his tongue and curled it in a circle. "You actually don't need to worry about that."

"I have already developed a technique for cultivating the soul. It can greatly slow the rate at which the soul ages."

"Madara's Rinnegan has already been retrieved. As long as you do not die unexpectedly, even if you die of old age, you can be resurrected."

"The advantage is that it can be done right now. The disadvantage is that you will have to keep changing bodies."

"But cloning is simple now. Just leave behind some cells, and you can be cloned later."

"Besides that, there is Living Corpse Reincarnation."

"Just like I used to do, except the bodies I consume can now be clones."

"However, the body will still undergo the normal process of aging."

Then Orochimaru glanced at Kimimaro.

"There is one more method: create a Kekkei Mōra body, then reincarnate your soul into it. That way, you will live as long as Shamu does and essentially never age."
