United States, Demon!

The United States falling into chaos was another piece of good news for Carlo, no less significant than victory in the World War.

Although the United States had not yet descended into complete disorder, its current international position and domestic circumstances made one thing certain: it was no longer possible for the United States to seek hegemony. At the very least, such a prospect was utterly unrealistic for several decades to come.

This was the greatest flaw of an immigrant nation. With too many outsiders within its borders, the entire country found it difficult to forge an effective cohesive force capable of withstanding crises as grave as the flu and the World War.

More importantly, the sheer scale of America's industry and economy had already aroused the vigilance of European nations. This chaos in the United States appeared to have been caused by the US Government, but other European nations were certainly pushing it from behind the scenes.

Naturally, those European nations included Spain. To Carlo, the United States would always be a greater threat than any European nation, and it was worth his full vigilance.

This flu was an excellent opportunity. Even if it could not make the US Government collapse like a mountain crumbling and the earth splitting apart, it still had to leave the United States battered to the bone. Only then could it be ensured that, in a possible Second World War, the United States would not become an obstacle to Spain.

Moreover, Carlo's designs for the United States certainly went far beyond simply inciting domestic unrest.

Since european countries all intended to make the United States carry the blame, the US Government would naturally have to take responsibility for this flu.
