As humanity continued to expand outward, the disadvantage of insufficient population immediately became apparent. Even if all the humans on Blue Light were scattered across the various Colony Planets, there still might not be enough...

So humanity introduced countless policies related to childbirth to encourage reproduction. Unfortunately, the results were nowhere near as good as expected. People simply were not very enthusiastic about having children.

Then some genius came up with an idea: classify Condoms and Contraceptive Pills as prohibited goods, pull both products from all shelves, and shut down every related industry. At the same time, anyone who dared sell such things would be severely punished—ten years minimum! Once the policy was implemented, the results were astonishingly good, bringing about a massive wave of newborns.

Later, there were repeated cases of people going to hospitals for abortions. Then another genius came up with a new idea: unless the fetus was diagnosed as defective, abortion was prohibited. Violators would be charged with the equivalent of murder.

And so, ordinary people had their crude little methods, while humanity's upper ranks let their imaginations run wild and came up with all kinds of bizarre strategies.

In the end, ordinary people suffered a crushing defeat.

Many people no longer wanted children, but they could not control their animal urges. One careless moment, and they would end up creating a life.

Many parents looked at the seven or eight Children trailing behind them and wanted to cry, but had no tears.

They truly did not want to have any more children... but unfortunately, some things growing on their bodies were beyond their control.
