"The first major city west along the railway is Mbeya, but before that we will pass through cities such as Dodoma. Dodoma is a railway hub, but its built-up area is relatively small. It cannot even rank among East Africa's top ten, yet its geographical position is extremely important and holds considerable strategic value. Unfortunately, East Africa now has a vast territory, and many places can replace Dodoma's role. Once the railways expand further in the future, its status may face further challenges."

If East Africa had been the Tanzania of a previous life, then Dodoma city's status would practically have made it the nation's core. But East Africa was not like that. Mbeya had instead become a relatively important hub city, along with the rising star New Frankfurt City.

It was like the Far East Empire in a previous life. Zhengzhou, located in the plains, had become an important railway hub early on. But once railway technology and construction became widespread and advanced, a whole host of railway hubs rose up around it—Wuhan, Shaanxi, Hefei, Jinan, and so on—inevitably causing its transportation status to decline.

This decline was relative, much like the United States in relation to the Far East Empire. In reality, without the Far East Empire as a foil, the United States' global status and every other aspect of it would not have changed much, and it was still growing every year.

Dodoma city faced the same situation. In fact, Dodoma city had developed quite well, but compared with the cities in the surrounding regions, it fell far behind.
