Background

The Ying Emperor was the son of Great Ying’s founding Great Emperor. He transformed Great Ying into an unprecedentedly powerful Divine Dynasty through tens of thousands of years of conquest, destroying eight kingdoms and absorbing the Former Dynasty’s territory. His annexation of the Former Dynasty was also the final blow that caused its Great Emperor to perish through the collapse of that dynasty’s national fortune. 599 601

His rule was defined by the fusion of imperial authority and national fortune. Within Great Ying’s territory, he was regarded as effectively invincible; neighboring powers, including Great Yan, avoided crossing his bottom line even when they could contest borderlands. 445 601

For a long period, his true body was absent while an Emperor Avatar governed in Li Capital.
