Background

Di Qingyun was the Myriad Flower Immortal Sect's sole Grand Elder and a legendary Nascent Soul cultivator who had awed Northern Hua Province. Rumors placed his age at more than a thousand years. He was often away from the sect, making his appearances rare even to its Core Formation elders. In his Core Formation years, he was already known for remarkable accomplishments throughout Northern Hua Province. 221

Qi Chuan first met Qingyun after reaching Core Formation. Qingyun praised Qi Chuan's performance in the Three Sects Competition, compared the youth's style to his own in his younger days, and presented him with the Nascent Soul portion of the Great Bright King Art.
