He found no such name.
"That's right, the Red Heart Association."
Lü Fanghui began to explain at length. "If most gangs born in the apocalypse had, more or less, been stained with blood by brutal reality, then the Red Heart Association was simply a strange flower that rose from the mud yet remained unstained.
"It was an organization of true idealists. Most Red Heart Association members had developed a rebellious spirit in response to the law of the jungle and moral collapse of the apocalypse. They believed that the darker the world became, the more we should kindle the radiance of humanity, so as to hold fast to civilization's bottom line.
"At the time, members of many gangs were lawless thugs, scoundrels who bullied the weak by relying on the strong, and selfish petty men. The Red Heart Association's members, however, were saints and Madonnas through and through.
"They lived like ascetics, seeking neither personal enjoyment nor greater strength. Instead, they regarded helping ordinary people as their highest purpose and greatest joy.
"After defeating the Blood Alliance and dividing its rich legacy, from ordinary members to gang leaders, the Red Heart Association did not devote many resources to their own cultivation. Instead, they invested them impartially in every ordinary citizen within their territory.
"When other gangs fought openly and secretly for resources, reducing shattered walls and ruins to even greater ruin, the Red Heart Association was striving to rebuild homes. They cleared away wreckage, repaired houses, and arranged small yet clean and sturdy dwellings for every displaced citizen.
"When former heroes like my father, Lü Zhongqi, swallowed up vast resources and buried themselves in personal cultivation, growing stronger and further beyond the realm of normal humans at an unbelievable speed, the
