The first Dragon City Chapter of "Earthlings Are Too Ferocious" had finally come to a successful close—time to scatter flowers in celebration!
As usual, let me say a few words.
After Forty Millenniums of Cultivation ended, Old Cow had been pondering how to make a breakthrough.
The hero city amid last year's pandemic, along with the many heroes within it, gave Old Cow a tremendous shock and deeply moved him.
Old Cow suddenly wanted to write the story of a city.
To write about a hero city that traveled through to a dazzling, colorful other world, and into the vast, boundless sea of stars.
Writing around an entire city rather than merely one person was, of course, extremely difficult. It meant confronting many issues that did not quite fit the conventions of webnovel writing, or even clashed with them.
And beyond hot-blooded passion, were there more ways to solve problems? What strange chain reactions might seemingly perfect solutions trigger? These were also questions Old Cow was interested in discussing with everyone.
Old Cow's writing ability was limited. This approach, and many of the things he wanted to explore, truly exceeded his capabilities much of the time.
But Old Cow had always believed that, as a writer, one had to keep challenging and breaking through one's own limits rather than merely repeating oneself. Only then could he be responsible to himself, and to all the brothers and sisters who had supported him with their hard-earned money.
Although the Dragon City Chapter had ended, Dragon City's story was far from over. Next came the even more exciting Another World War. More mysteries, answers, heroes, demons, warriors, butchers, mothers, and children would take the stage one by one.
