Wu Tong retained knowledge from a previous life and awakened the Body Martial Soul Brain. Rather than accepting its lack of direct offensive power as a weakness, he planned to develop it into a self-created version of a heaven-defying comprehension talent 3 4.

During his academy years, he focused on the library, spirit-beast research, and the selection of Spirit Rings that complemented a Martial Soul's inherent traits. His first major hunt gave him the Mind's Eye Golden Fox's Spirit Ring and the external soul bone Mind's Eye, greatly expanding his perception and investigative ability 6 11 12.

Using Mind's Eye: Perspective and Absolute Memory, Wu Tong secretly observed Tang San's internal energy circulation and acquired the techniques of the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record.
