Sinking (Please Vote)

"God! Why haven't we sunk the German warships yet? We're running out of time!" Admiral John Jellicoe was secretly alarmed. Though their warships had continued to score hits amid the fierce battle, they had at most inflicted only minor damage on the German Navy's warships. Sinking them was still a long way off.

"Admiral, the German warships' armor is too thick. It will be extremely difficult to sink them!" Vice Admiral David Beatty said.

The German Navy battleships used concentrated protection. So long as their vital areas were not penetrated, even if a warship was riddled with holes, it would still be difficult to sink.

Admiral John Jellicoe nodded. The fierce naval battles had already proven that the Germans' warship design philosophy was correct. By comparison, the British Navy's design philosophy of valuing firepower and speed while neglecting protection had been proven wrong.

A dazzling blaze erupted aboard the British Navy's Battleship Dreadnought. The German Navy's Battleship Brandenburg had scored the first hit of this naval battle. A 380mm Shell struck Dreadnought's superstructure. The shell exploded, blasting a huge hole directly into Dreadnought's upper hull and igniting a roaring fire. Such damage was not fatal to Dreadnought, but it was clearly no easy blow to bear.

"Damn it, Dreadnought has been hit!" Admiral John Jellicoe could not help cursing.

Vice Admiral David Beatty's expression was equally grim.

They both knew that before the German Navy's Kaiser class battleships, Battleship Dreadnought was like an old man in his twilight years facing a young man. The gap in strength between them was simply too vast!

If the Kaiser class battleships' 380mm Main Guns struck Dreadnought's vital areas, a single shell would be enough to cripple Dreadnought or even sink her.

After being hit, Dreadnought's damage-control personnel immediately began damage control. But
