Paul Borselli's expression was extremely ugly. Crown Prince Karl's tone had been far too aggressive, as though he would not rest until he had squeezed every last drop of marrow from the Kingdom of Italy's bones. It made Paul Borselli realize that the other side's terms this time would likely be exceptionally harsh.

Fourth, Italy's military strength must be restricted. Its army must not exceed one hundred thousand men and may not possess tanks or artillery with a caliber exceeding one hundred millimeters. Its navy may not build warships above five thousand tons and may not possess submarines, aircraft carriers, or aircraft.
