Ulyanov's Concerns (Thirteenth Update)

Moscow, Kremlin. This had originally been the Tsar's palace. Even after Russia's capital moved from Moscow to St. Petersburg, Moscow's status as the capital had not been weakened by much.

After the Bolshevik Party overthrew the Tsar's rule, it established the capital in Moscow. The main reason was that St. Petersburg was simply too close to Germany.

The Baltic States had already been ceded to Germany. If the Germans marched from Estonia, they would need only a few days to reach St. Petersburg. Finland would also establish an independent state with German support. Even a fool could guess that independent Finland would likewise remain under German control.
