The smile had completely vanished from Uchida Kosai's face.

Although Jacob had seen through their intentions, leaving him deeply embarrassed, and although the tone and expression that were practically an insult filled Uchida Kosai with grief and indignation, his duty required him to calm down and do everything possible to persuade the Germans. Though he knew it would be exceedingly difficult, with almost no chance of success, he still had to do it.

"Hmph! I will report it to the homeland. But I believe the homeland will absolutely not agree to your country's unreasonable demands." Jacob spoke with a cold face. These Island Nation people were truly detestable. They still wanted to struggle to the bitter end—shameless beyond all bounds.
