Boom! Boom! Boom!

The Island Nation Coastal Defense Force's coastal batteries continued firing. Shell after shell crashed toward the light cruisers and destroyers of the German Expeditionary Fleet speeding through the Uraga Channel. However, those large-caliber coastal guns fired slowly, and against the fast-moving German light cruisers and destroyers, their hit rate was exceedingly low. They could only watch helplessly as those light cruisers and destroyers passed through the channel.

Boom!

A 280mm coastal artillery shell struck Destroyer V40 as it passed through the channel. A destroyer with a displacement of less than a thousand tons could hardly be expected to possess any thick armor.

The shell easily punched through the hull and exploded inside. Its immense power nearly blew the destroyer in two. Great quantities of seawater poured through the breach into the warship, causing it to sink rapidly.

"Damn it!" Vice Admiral Spee cursed when he saw one of his destroyers sunk.

They were on the verge of claiming their final victory, yet at this critical juncture, they had lost another warship. Still, such a loss was nothing to the German Expeditionary Fleet. They could afford it. As long as they could destroy Tokyo and force the Island Nation people to surrender in the coming battle, they would win.

The Island Nation Coastal Defense Force's luck seemed to have run its course. After sinking Destroyer V40, they achieved no further results. The German Navy's light cruiser formation and destroyer formation successfully passed through the Uraga Channel and entered Tokyo Bay.

"Let us set off as well! We have already won this battle. There is no doubt about it!" Vice Admiral Spee's face was full of confidence.

The Uraga Channel had been the final obstacle standing between the German Expeditionary Fleet and victory. Now that obstacle had been overcome.
