While Gu Xi went down to perform Summoning, some of Eve's requests were swiftly conveyed to his ears through Mind's Eye.
These were issues Eve had discovered while preparing the ritual, along with adjustments that needed to be made.
These adjustment issues had all appeared in locations far from the ritual site, yet they could not be left unresolved.
For the ritual's success rate, Gu Xi had no choice but to cooperate and deal with them.
Fortunately, Gu Xi did not need to handle them personally. He only needed to arrange for them to be done.
For instance, the severed energy transmission lines inside Howling Castle needed to be laid out again. Under normal circumstances, it would not matter even if two sections of such lines were disconnected.
But the ritual before them required the entire Howling Castle to participate.
Although only three or four floors remained above ground in Howling Castle, its underground section was relatively intact. If energy was cut off in certain places, it was equivalent to the Council Hall voluntarily abandoning the sections without energy support.
The ritual could still be completed then, but it would affect the integrity of Howling Castle.
This part needed adjustment.
There was also the matter of troop types and population inside Howling Castle, which also needed to be adjusted again.
The adjustment here did not mean that certain Vampires were unsuitable to be here.
In fact, to Eve, any kind of undead could be put to use as long as it was inside Howling Castle.
But the issue was that, aside from the troops Gu Xi had prepared to serve as Howling Castle's defenses and the Vampires serving as its population, there were also troops Gu Xi had brought in himself.
Those were Gu Xi's elite.
If they remained here,
