Ever since he had self-destructed his Lifebound Divine Banner, the black-robed old man had discovered, to his horror, something utterly terrifying. At some unknown time, a bizarre ghostly shadow had appeared deep within his Soul Sea, becoming inextricably entangled with his Nascent Soul dharma body.
Even more frighteningly, his mind and consciousness were constantly being influenced by the ghostly shadow. Not only was he slowly becoming bloodthirsty and violent, but he also frequently lost his reason.
At the same time, he always felt as though something were calling to him, as if he had lost something most precious. An extreme longing filled his heart, a longing to reclaim what he had lost.
Over the past half year, the phantom image of a crimson blood banner had appeared in his mind from time to time.
