The End of the First Phase of the War

The dazzling radiance was like an extra little sun appearing in the night.

In the sky, the Royal casters besieging the demon dragon were momentarily stunned.

"Such earth-shaking power... holy radiance! It's holy radiance!"

Someone guessed excitedly, "Could holy radiance of this level mean the Iron Duke invited Grand Commander William of the Order of Saint George to assist in battle?"

This theory quickly became the widespread consensus. Other than a handful of senior officers aware of MI6's secret reports, almost no one could imagine that the person wielding holy radiance was standing on the same side as Texas's "demons."

Relief at surviving a disaster appeared on many naval officers' and sailors' faces. The morale that had plunged to rock bottom after witnessing that horrifying scene finally recovered somewhat.

They all made the sign of the cross before their chests. If the devoutness of faith could be measured numerically, they had previously been at most a one; now, they had at least reached ten.

"Those Texans truly are terrifying. They actually forced the Iron Duke and a Church powerhouse of this level to join forces against them."

Several knowledgeable Royal Mages wore grave expressions. This was not good news. The Empire had already spent far too much on Texas. Even if Texas possessed a white crystal vein, who knew how long it would take to recoup the cost?
