Thick black blood stained the ground red. Wary of the unknown and terrifying contagion, the defenders were forced to retreat again and again.
Gario desperately cleaved open the monster before him, splitting its chest apart. These immensely strong monsters were not much tougher than ordinary people, yet despite such a grave wound, the monster did not stop moving. With one punch, it sent the fully armored knight flying.
Gario crashed heavily into the courtyard wall, feeling as though his internal organs had all shifted out of place. He struggled several times but could not get back up.
He watched the six-armed monster slowly approach. At its split-open chest, countless nauseating, tapeworm-like flesh buds wriggled together and connected, "sewing" the torn chest back up like a zipper.
"Perhaps only the wolf warriors of Texas can deal with these monsters?"
As the monster slowly approached, Gario did not feel much fear.
