"Pain?"
Hirohiko landed on a branch, Chakra bursting beneath his feet as he leaped forward. At Chiba's words, he froze slightly and asked instinctively.
Because of pain? But that old Kumogakure ninja had already fallen under the genjutsu. His body had been beyond his control, so he should not have been able to hurt himself and produce pain to break the genjutsu! That old Kumogakure ninja's gaze just now, along with the dissipation of his Chakra, had all indicated that he was trapped in my genjutsu and unable to move. The chaotic Chakra within him could no longer undergo Nature Transformation.
How could he still feel pain?
And could pain undo my ocular genjutsu?
His heart was full of doubts.
"Yes, because of pain."
Chiba answered with certainty.
"But pain alone shouldn't have been enough to break my genjutsu, right?"
Having received Chiba's affirmative answer, Hirohiko kept his eyes on the trail and did not look away as he voiced his objection.
During Kushina's combat training, Chiba had often asked him to cast genjutsu on him in order to train his ability to break it. Chiba should have known well that pain alone was insufficient to break an ocular genjutsu like Sharingan genjutsu.
There had even been an experiment where he had Yukina stab his thigh with a Kunai, yet he had felt no pain at all. Pain could not break his Sharingan genjutsu.
"Yes. Pain alone cannot undo your genjutsu. Your Sharingan genjutsu can only be broken when someone else's Chakra disrupts the Chakra pattern you have thrown into disorder. In other words, another person needs to inject Chakra into the target to undo your Sharingan genjutsu. Or rather, the target needs to possess Chakra that does not belong to them, and in a sufficient quantity. Right?"
Chiba glanced
