Seeing Kakashi turn and walk away, clearly with no intention of going to rescue him, Obito abruptly clenched his teeth.
"Teacher Minato?"
Then, he looked at his teacher.
But the teacher he had thought would support going to the rescue had already crouched down, his hands resting on Hirohiko and Yukina's shoulders. He, too, had no intention of saving Chiba. Seeing this, Obito choked with fury. "You...!"

Seeing Obito so agitated that he seemed unable to stop himself from going around her and charging toward their teacher, Rin hurriedly grabbed his left arm and anxiously stopped him.

But this time, Obito did not deflate as he usually did whenever Rin intervened. Instead, he whipped around and stared at Rin in disbelief, as though he could never have imagined that his Rin would stand by and watch someone die—especially Chiba, someone so close to them! "Yes..."
Feeling Obito's incredulous glare, Rin took a slight step back. His gaze stung her, and his unusual actions and words frightened her somewhat. The way Obito stood there, wide-eyed, looking both furious and disbelieving, seemed almost twisted, and she suddenly felt afraid.
Even so, though she shrank back a step, she was not merely a weak and fragile girl. Her eyes remained fixed on Obito as she met his confused, angry gaze and answered softly.
