Harry had thought it was some spell to dispel invisibility, but not only did Peeves fail to appear, he stuck his backside out in front of Percy and let out several loud, piercing farts that sounded like deflating balloons.
Peeves's backside was pressed tightly against Percy's face, but since Peeves was a ghost, the two did not physically touch.
Even so, the sight was still hilarious. Harry, who had seen everything, could not help laughing out loud.
Noticing the laughter, Peeves floated over to Harry with a cane in hand and looked him over curiously. When he saw that Harry's gaze followed his movements, he was utterly astonished: "You can see what Peeves looks like!"
The transparent dwarf-like ghost came before Harry and studied him curiously.
The ghost was small and thin, almost like a goblin, and especially short.
It had a broad face, a huge mouth, and a pair of wicked black eyes. A mischievous, cunning smile was always plastered across its face.
Like Malfoy's, its hair was blond, but it was a complete mess, utterly unkempt. Even its tall hat and bright green formal clothes looked filthy.
This was a ghost that did not care for cleanliness.
"Yes, I can see you." Harry looked the ghost over. Ghosts had stayed at Hogwarts for a long time, and since they could pass through walls, they knew all sorts of secret passages throughout Hogwarts.
He wondered whether ghosts could become borrowers. If they could, developing a few ghost borrowers would allow Harry to learn about most of Hogwarts's hidden passages.
Peeves found it unbelievable. "No, how could you possibly find me? How am I supposed to pull pranks from now on? What's your name?"
"Harry Potter."
"Oh my heavens, so it's Harry Potter. Then it's no surprise. It's perfectly normal for the Savior to be able to see me. Esteemed Mr. Harry, could we make a deal? Please don't expose me when I'm pulling pranks?"
After learning Harry's name, Peeves looked as though he finally understood.
In the eyes of wizards, the Savior could do anything. Naturally, seeing Peeves was no exception.
This reminded Harry of his lending. Lending seemed like something demons would do, but perhaps he could attribute it to his identity as the Savior?
If that worked, he would not need to secretly develop borrowers anymore.
Peeves was terrified that Harry would interfere with his pranks in the future, and he kept edging closer to Harry, his large face nearly touching him.
Harry could not help pushing him away. This action shocked Peeves once again, as well as the other young wizards.
Peeves was completely dumbfounded. "You can actually touch me? Even most magic can't hit me!"
The older Gryffindor students also began whispering among themselves.
"Is that some kind of magic? Or is it an ability unique to the Savior?"
"If we could touch Peeves too, wouldn't we be able to teach him a proper lesson?"
"That's right. That rotten Peeves has incredibly strong resistance to magic. Even spells cast by seventh-year students can barely affect him!"
Naturally, Peeves heard the young wizards' discussion as well. He was terrified. If this really was some spell that could be taught, then given all the bad things he had done before, every young wizard would surely gang up to teach him a lesson.
Thinking of what might happen, Peeves immediately begged Harry: "No, my dear Harry, please don't teach this magic to anyone else, or poor Peeves will die! I'll leave right now. From now on, Peeves won't pull any pranks in front of Harry!"
Seeing Peeves reveal himself and leave, all the Gryffindor young wizards cheered together, celebrating Gryffindor's victory.
"We have Potter! Potter can do anything!"
"Hahaha, Peeves loves throwing balls at my head. Potter finally taught him a lesson. The way he got scared was hilarious."
Some young wizards who had suffered greatly at Peeves's hands squeezed through the crowd and came to Harry's side, asking excitedly, "Harry, why can you touch Peeves? Is it magic? Can we learn it?"
It was indeed magic, but it was not magic from the Wizarding World. It was Astral Projection Magic from Kamar-Taj.
Astral Projection Magic allowed one's soul to leave the body and roam the infinite multiverse in spiritual form. It could also knock someone else's soul out of their body, and naturally, it could touch souls as well.
With Chaos Magic, Harry quickly mastered this sort of magic that did not require stable magical power. That was why he could touch Peeves.
But Astral Projection could not be taught to these young wizards, not only because it was difficult magic even in Kamar-Taj, but also because they had no one to borrow from.
Perhaps Harry could temporarily act as a Dimensional Demon and become the young wizards' lending target. He also planned to use the traits of the Savior to explain it.
So Harry smiled brightly. "It seems to be magic I was born able to use. I don't know how to teach it to anyone else."
Just as all the young wizards were growing disappointed, Harry continued, "Although I can't teach it to others, it seems I can 'lend' it to them. But I'm not yet skilled at how to 'lend' it, so you'll need to wait."
The young wizards became excited again, shouting Harry Potter's name and praising the Savior's arrival.
Even Percy, a prefect, was rather excited. "Originally, only the Bloody Baron could keep Peeves in line, but now we have Harry too! It looks like the Gryffindor Common Room will be much more peaceful from now on. Peeves won't dare pull pranks in front of Harry. All right, we're here."
The group stopped at the end of a corridor on the seventh floor, where a portrait hung on the wall.
It depicted a very plump woman in a pink court dress. When she saw the Gryffindor group, she asked, "Password?"
Percy replied, "Dragon Scum!"
Upon hearing the correct password, the portrait swayed forward, revealing a round hole in the wall behind it that was only wide enough for one person to pass through.
Percy turned to the many first-year young wizards. "The Common Room password is Dragon Scum. Remember it, or you'll have to wait for someone else to open the door before you can get in."
The young wizards entered the Gryffindor Common Room one by one. It was a comfortable, spacious circular room filled with soft armchairs.
The Common Room's overall style was nostalgic and classical, somewhat similar to Kamar-Taj. Harry liked it very much.
Percy was quite qualified as a prefect. He directed the girls through one door. Hermione looked back at Harry, and with Harry's smile, the two briefly parted.
After the girls left, Percy led the boys through another door. Unlike the girls' door on the right, the boys' door was on the left.
They climbed a spiral staircase, and when they reached a tower, Harry suddenly felt a peculiar flutter in his heart.
That flutter told him that before long, he would return to another world once again!
