Chapter 30: Tony Stark
Flying Class was also a favorite among the Young Wizards. The professor for this class was Rolanda Hooch, whom the Young Wizards called Madam Hooch.
She seemed to possess some mysterious bloodline, with extraordinary gray hair and yellow hawk-like eyes.
Her gaze was sharp and imposing, enough to inspire fear. Harry suspected that those eyes had vision far beyond that of ordinary wizards.
Tuesday and Thursday afternoons were both Flying Class. During these two lessons, Madam Hooch did not let the Young Wizards attempt actual flight.
In the first Flying Class, Madam Hooch explained the precautions to take while flying. Compared to speed, safety was more important.
In the second lesson, the Young Wizards were given battered brooms, but they were only asked to awaken them and make them fly from the ground into their hands.
Harry completed this step quickly, but many Young Wizards could not manage it even by the end of the second class. Poor Ron was one of them.
On Friday, the trio of Harry, Hermione, and Ron ate together in the Great Hall.
The usual meals were not as lavish as the Sorting Ceremony feast, but they were still quite good, only with fewer varieties.
Ron kept adding sugar to his porridge and asked, "What classes do we have today?"
Hermione took a bite of pumpkin pie, her cheeks puffed out as she answered, "We have two Potions Classes with the Slytherin students this morning."
Ron's smiling face immediately crumpled like a bitter melon.
"Professor Snape is Slytherin's Head of House. George and Fred both said he favors his own students, and that face of his is so sour and stiff. Today is going to be an unlucky day."
Unlike Ron, Harry was not worried. A professor's attitude could not affect him, even if Professor Snape would definitely target him deliberately.
Perhaps this morning, after poor Professor Snape had been bullied by James Potter, he would be bullied by James's son as well.
Just then, the sound of wings beating through the air rang out.
Owls flew in one after another through the windows near the ceiling, circling overhead as they dropped letter after letter.
The mail had arrived. Every day, quite a lot of mail was delivered by owls.
They would find their recipients and drop letters or packages in front of them or onto their laps.
Only then did Harry realize that owls, seemingly simple creatures, were not ordinary either. They possessed faint magic as well and were highly capable of locating targets. Perhaps more precise locating magic could be researched from them.
Harry had no relatives outside, only the three debtors from the Dursley family.
The three of them did not need to send Harry letters. They only needed to pray to him in their hearts, and he could receive their messages and speak with them.
This was also one of a Dimensional Demon's authorities. Though Harry was not a Dimensional Demon, he possessed this ability.
Even the Supreme Mage had been puzzled by it. She guessed it was related to the powerful force known as the Chaos Force, yet it was also somewhat different. Harry seemed even more—special?
Even the Supreme Mage could only describe it that way.
Thus, Hathaway had not brought Harry any packages so far, though she came to visit him every day.
Just like now, she stood on Harry's shoulder, eating the toast Harry held to her beak.
Afterward, Harry patted her little head, smoothed her feathers, and cast a Cleaning Charm, "Scourgify," before she returned to the owlery to play with the other owls.
But today was a little different. After finishing a piece of toast, she placed a note in front of Harry. It read:
"Dear Harry:
I know you have no classes on Friday afternoon. Could you come have tea with me at three in the afternoon?
I would very much like to know how your first week has been. Please have Hathaway bring me a reply. —Hagrid"
Harry lightly flicked his silver spoon, briefly turning it into a quill, and wrote on the note:
"Of course. I'd be delighted. See you this afternoon."
Handing the note to Hathaway, Harry rubbed her adorable little head and let her fly away.
After breakfast, the trio left the Great Hall and went down the stairs toward the underground levels.
The Potions Class classroom was located in the dungeons of Hogwarts Castle, which suited Professor Snape perfectly. In Harry's eyes, Professor Snape was like a giant bat, and a rather greasy one at that.
Was Professor Snape so unhygienic that Mum had distanced herself from him? Harry thought maliciously.
The underground corridors were rather cold and damp. Hermione pulled her robes tighter and moved closer to Harry.
Harry gradually realized that Hermione seemed too dependent on him.
That would not do. Miss Otter had many strengths: she was brave, intelligent, kind, fearless, and more gifted than the vast majority of Young Wizards.
She should have her own brilliance, standing high on her own and shining brightly, rather than merely becoming a candle flame that stood too close to the sun.
Harry had even considered making Hermione the Supreme Mage of this world after he retired, so he should start cultivating her from a young age.
As for what he would do after retirement, well... Vishanti was a fine example.
Just as Harry was thinking about how to make Hermione more confident, he suddenly froze.
He had just passed through the door of the Potions Class classroom, yet what lay before him was not the classroom, but an unfamiliar cave.
The cave was dim and damp, but Harry quickly adjusted. A faint, brilliant glimmer flashed through his pupils, and he saw the scene within clearly.
In front of him lay a large amount of clutter: all kinds of mechanical parts, missile wreckage, screwdrivers, and damaged wooden crates.
Harry frowned slightly and shut out the thick stench of sweat and mold, only then feeling much better.
There was no doubt about it—he had transmigrated again, into a multiverse world.
What puzzled him, however, was that unlike when he had returned to the Wizarding World, he had not returned to the spot where he had left. Instead, he had arrived in an unfamiliar cave.
So the question was, where was he now?
At that moment, a questioning voice came from a corner ahead.
"Hey, Pajama Baby, where did you come from? Why did you suddenly appear?"
Harry looked ahead. In a corner piled with various parts, two filthy men were staring at him in astonishment.
One of them had a bald head just like Filch's and wore glasses, making him look rather scholarly, but his jacket and shirt were covered in grime, leaving him looking utterly disheveled.
The other had an unkempt beard and was no cleaner, with a head of greasy hair nearly comparable to that of a giant bat.
He had casually draped an ill-fitting coat over himself. It partly covered a round glowing object embedded in his chest, though Harry had no idea what it was for.
He was the one who had just questioned Harry, and he was now examining him in disbelief.
To Harry's surprise, he recognized this filthy, disheveled man. He was Tony Stark, who had been missing in Afghanistan for a long time according to the news reports!
Harry quickly understood what was happening. Tony Stark had been kidnapped.
And he had transmigrated to the place where Tony Stark was being held captive.
