The Grand Elder narrowed his eyes and looked up at the sky. Night was about to end, and the first light of dawn was spreading across the horizon.
His gaze seemed to pierce through that faint morning light, seeing beyond the heavens, seeing every hidden corner of the universe.
"Something's strange... Have your rules started malfunctioning again?"
"It seems that child has brought you..."
"Perhaps he can't be called a child."
"I don't think I saw him before... But that was before."

The Grand Elder spoke at an incredibly rapid pace, continuously muttering strange things. Much of what he said could not even form coherent sentences.
It was as though he kept interrupting himself. Sometimes, halfway through a sentence, he would abruptly start a new one and leave himself stuck.
He only had one mouth, yet it seemed terribly busy at the moment...
Frowning, he pinched his temples, closed his eyes, and shut his mouth as well.

After a long sigh, he slowly opened his eyes and descended to the ground.
