Knowledge watched as Sin remained seated there, stubbornly rubbing the sand in his hand over and over. It could not even be bothered to keep counting anymore, thinking it only needed to say the final result.
It did not intend to say much else, merely watching Sin with a faint sneer.
At last, the handful of sand and gravel in Lu Ce's hand was crushed into fine powder, flowing downward like sand through an hourglass.
The fine grains fell onto the platform before him, where Knowledge caught every last one of them, producing a pleasant rustling sound.
"So? Have you finally given up struggling?" Knowledge said with a smile.
"Why would you say that?" Lu Ce's voice betrayed no emotion. "I think this number is enough. You can't count any further, can you?"
As he spoke, he clapped his hands, sending down all the sand he had crushed in his palms as well.
Hmph!
Knowledge snorted coldly and raised a hand, binding Lu Ce's hands.
Then, a gust of divine power swept over like a breeze, washing away every last grain lodged in the lines of his palms.
In the end, they formed a small grayish-white pile scattered before them.
"You've confirmed it, right? Don't start regretting it later and try some pointless trick."
"There are 2,346 grains of sand in total. I've finished counting. It's time for you to lose."
After saying that, it lowered its head and quietly watched Sin, waiting for his reaction.
Yet Lu Ce slowly raised his head, and the smile on his face did not vanish as Knowledge had expected.
Instead, it seemed to widen even further.
"Are you sure?"
"Of course I'm sure!"
Knowledge did not doubt itself in the slightest as it waited for the person before it to make his sophistry.
