After avoiding the genjutsu bubbles, the rest of the way was smooth.

The two crossed another three bodies of water and arrived at the final cave.

"Beyond this is the moon," Chen said.

Himeji was about to say something when she suddenly frowned.

"A mass of Chakra is approaching."

Chen nodded.

It was probably that giant guardian crab from the original timeline.

Sure enough, moments later, a massive crab came stomping across the river, charging fiercely toward Chen and Himeji.

Though the crab was enormous and moved sideways, it was incredibly fast.

As it passed over the river, it split the waves and cleaved through the current, causing the water to surge several feet high and crash violently against both banks.

As the crab rushed forward, it spat out dozens of bubbles. Clearly, every one of them could produce genjutsu.

Chen rapidly formed Hand Seals.

The lake behind Chen suddenly split apart. Half the water rose up with a roar, soaring more than a dozen feet into the air like a yellow dragon leaping from the water and drawing an arc through the sky.

This underground cave had an abundant supply of water, and the lake water here was exceptionally peculiar. Chen could casually use Water Release and receive an enormous boost.

With the single-handed seal Chen pointed forward, the overwhelming torrent descended upon the giant crab.

The Giant Crab, which had made such an imposing entrance, was swept away along with its bubbles and smashed against the rocks in the blink of an eye, looking utterly miserable.

Looking at the drenched crab before him, Chen could not help but wonder, "Would it taste better steamed or stir-fried?"
