Use of a Pawn

With Chen and Fugaku issuing their respective orders, the largest war in Shinobi World history officially began.

The Allied Shinobi Forces marched forward in mighty ranks. The First Division, the close-combat force led by Chiyo and Jiraiya, took the lead at the very front of the army.

Even faster than the First Division was the surprise attack unit led by Kitsuchi, advancing through the air.

Kitsuchi's Lightweight Rock Technique granted him the ability to fly, and the surprise attack unit had the fewest members, consisting mostly of shinobi with flying Summoning Beasts.

The surprise attack unit's mission was to bypass the enemy and launch an assault from behind. They moved the fastest and would not reveal themselves before the First Division engaged the enemy. Only when their own forces clashed with the enemy would they descend from the sky and join the battle.

Coordinating the air force and ground forces at the right time required a complete real-time communications network. The Yamanaka Clan, working alongside Konoha's Black Technology, could establish relay stations for everyone.

The sensory and medical units were divided into countless small teams and distributed among the various divisions to provide support.

The other units of the main assault force followed closely behind the First Division.

No one knew what awaited them ahead.

Would they live to see victory, or fall in the first exchange?

As a close-combat unit, the First Division faced the greatest risks of all, yet every one of them had steeled themselves for it.

And so, the army of tens of thousands marched mightily toward the Land of Rain.

From the sky, the movements of the Allied Shinobi Forces were unmistakable. They had clearly assumed a posture of launching an all-out siege against the Land of Rain.
