Background / History
According to Venerable Wu Dao, the lineage began when ancestors entered a corrupted world to purify malevolent energy. Trapped there and gradually tainted by its filth, they merged with the world’s original inhabitants; the resulting bloodlines became the Night Watchers and Spirit Eliminators. Their blood contains mysterious factors whose purity differs between individuals. 679
Within the Divine Court, powerful humans later split into two branches: Night Watchers became humanity’s shield, while Spirit Eliminators became its spear. During an ancient war, the Spirit Eliminators betrayed humanity after fearing the Will of Heaven and suffering pressure from the Heavenly Dao Palace. They surrendered their Imperial Blood of Destiny and accepted cold ghost blood instead. 427

Appearance
Spirit Eliminators have no single appearance. Their bodies and features vary sharply by bloodline and cultivation method; some retain human forms, while others become corpse-like or fiendish.
- Corpse Demon lineages gradually rot, develop bone scales and corpse fluid, and may later return to a more human-looking form after reaching a high enough level. 142
- Fiend Corpse Art practitioners can develop huge bodies, protruding muscles, scales, black hair, and other monstrous traits. 159
- Their blood is commonly described as black, “half-dead blood,” unlike the red blood of ordinary humans. 196
Bloodlines and Abilities
Ghost Blood
Spirit Eliminator blood is a supernatural inheritance rather than ordinary human blood.
- Ghost blood can pass down bloodline power, though it is considered far less useful for sacrifices and secret techniques than ordinary humans’ red blood. 196
- The ancestral blood factors can eliminate malevolent energy and nourish the body; the Emperor Asura Physique is said to fully awaken and purify these factors. 679
- An Emperor Asura Physique grows stronger after injury, with more severe wounds producing greater subsequent increases in strength. 679
Wang Family: Evil Spirit Possession
The Spirit Eliminator Wang Family summons Evil Spirits to possess its members.
- Possession grants an immediate increase in strength. 222
- A possessed member can rapidly recover from injuries unless the Evil Spirit inside them is first killed or forced out. 222
- The summoning process requires time, leaving members vulnerable to a sufficiently fast attack before possession is completed. 222
Bai Family: Ghost Blood Arts
The Spirit Eliminator Bai Family cultivates vengeful spirits and has purplish-black ghost blood.
- Their blood corrodes targets, carries potent poison, and can create confinement fields. 222
- Ghost blood can be used to control others. 222
- Bai Family members continue recovering until their ghost blood is completely vaporized. 222
Thirteen Corpse Demon Mountain
Thirteen Corpse Demon Mountain possesses a Spirit Eliminator bloodline but follows a corpse-transformation inheritance.
- Its members gradually become Corpse Demons, making their nature difficult to classify as entirely Spirit Eliminator or entirely Ferocious Oddity. 127
- The group is identified as the destined royal bloodline of the Great Ye Dynasty. 127
- Its Corpse Demons can deploy Corpse Demon Insect Gu to enslave Spirit Eliminators and force them into dangerous reconnaissance work. 143
- A child-like Spirit Corpse encountered near the Heaven’s Mandate Artifact was assessed as potentially Dragon Grade. 142
Fiend Corpse Art
The Fiend Corpse Art is a forbidden blood-sacrifice method rejected by major Spirit Eliminator factions.
- Cultivation begins with devouring ordinary people’s essence blood, then escalates to consuming Spirit Eliminators. 159
- Its users become addicted to blood consumption, lose their minds, and eventually transform into fiend bodies. 159
- Yellow Wind Valley impostors used the method to lure Spirit Eliminators with promises of bloodline advancement before attempting to sacrifice them. 159 160

- Malevolent Spirits and Ferocious Oddities — Their traditional targets, though some factions instead enslave, cultivate, or cooperate with such beings. 12 143
- Ordinary humans — Historically meant to be protected, but many Spirit Eliminators exploit them as blood sources or sacrifices. 140 167
- Jiang Dao — A feared adversary to many Spirit Eliminator families. He has repeatedly killed their members, yet surviving families later considered seeking his protection during the Evil God crisis. 346 460
- Evil Gods — A growing threat; Evil Gods began merging with Malevolent Spirits, prompting Spirit Eliminator alliances to form in response. 202
