"A Spider-Man with magical origins..."
Faced with this question, even Miguel was confused. His first thought was Spider-Man Noir, but after hearing Peter talk about Strange, he realized Peter mainly meant "Spider-Men connected to Strange and similar origins." To his surprise, there really was no relevant information at all.
"You mean we should first find a Spider-Man with a similar origin, then look for his counterpart. And that origin needs to include the Sorcerer Supreme himself, so he can help you investigate the related incidents more easily..."
Miguel pondered for a moment, then pulled up a list. As it unfolded, he discovered a very serious problem: they had explored so many universes, yet the entire Spider-League did not have a single spider-mutated Strange, much less any magician Spider-Men.
Not counting that half-baked wizard from 616.
Miguel began operating the computer, and Gwen curiously leaned toward Peter. "What's he doing?"
"I guess he's searching through known Spider-Man records for instances where Spider-Man and Strange appeared together, trying to find similar universes." Peter stroked his chin as he spoke. He actually knew of one such universe: the universe from the animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. The reason Peter Parker became Spider-Man there was because of a time loop opened by Strange.
But he did not know that universe's designation, only vaguely remembered a few details.
"I have a few keywords from my dreams. See if they help. Something like... Midtown High School was destroyed, and Strange was present during that battle."
The other three all looked at Peter upon hearing that. There was no other reason—four of the five people present were Midtown High School students. Even Jessica could not help sighing. "Should I feel fortunate that nothing has happened to our school so far?"
