They had caused a huge commotion, and when they followed that lead, thinking they had found some mastermind or some evil, terrifying spider monster, they had found nothing.
The Superior Spider-Man of this universe was definitely planning something, but unlike the Web Legion, which gathered all the evil Spider-Men together, his team was small and made up entirely of antiheroes. At the very least, their stance was more reliable than Anansi's group.
There were plenty of suspicious points, but their position was trustworthy. They were on their side; it was just that not everyone would necessarily accept their methods.
