"Lonely Confessor—Tony Stark's First Exclusive Interview."
Peter, dressed in his Spider-Man suit, crouched on the exterior wall of a New York building, reading the interview feature Mary Jane had written on his phone. The newspaper, of course, ran the photos Peter had taken of Tony: wearing a dark crimson suit and holding a wineglass, he looked calm and rational.
"I'm a little impressed by J. Jonah Jameson. He got a front-page Daily Bugle story written by an intern using photos taken by someone who isn't even an employee. Still, personally, I think the article was really well written. Just my opinion."
"According to the report, Spider-Man and his spider-freak brethren have been appearing more and more frequently on the streets of New York!" J. Jonah Jameson clearly couldn't accept Spider-Man's praise for more than three minutes. "I have to ask: when will our city finally be rid of these ever-increasing spider freaks?"
"I received a letter from a viewer. The sender claimed to be a window cleaner in New York. He said that last month, a female Spider-Man in a white suit threw a criminal straight into the air while stopping a crime, then webbed him to the glass wall he was working on! It left him unable to work normally for a full two hours. Without a doubt, these spider freaks are turning the airspace above our city into a danger zone!"
As Peter scrolled through Mary Jane's report, he couldn't help complaining, "I don't even know whether you understand the logic of what you're saying, J. Jonah. But never mind."
"Hey! Spider-Man!"
Laurie, who kept pigeons, came out and looked at Spider-Man, who was scrolling through his phone. Peter looked up at him. "Hey, Laurie. That's Laura in your hand, right? Not Carl?"
"Yeah. What a lovely girl.
