Background

Fang Xuan began as a ruffian in Pingjiang County’s Tong'an Alley. He extorted local fishermen and residents, earning fear and forced respect, but also gave part of his proceeds to his loyal follower One Line Sky for his pregnant wife. His early worldview was shaped by poverty and violence: survival required ferocity, guts, and strength. 1

He trained obsessively from the outset, using heated stones to refine the Whale Sand Palm. Old Man Yu recognized his talent and warned that ordinary martial techniques could never take him beyond the mundane world, giving Fang Xuan a true body-tempering method and urging him to become an Ingress Martial Artist. 1 7
