Mission (Guaranteed Update 3)

After the tears of joy came countless cheers. Everyone waved the little national flags in their hands. Watching the massive warship draw closer and closer to the pier, an inexplicable sense of security rose in everyone—a feeling unlike anything they had ever known.

The warship had deployed small boats in advance, carrying some naval personnel ashore first, striving to have all the nationals board as soon as the ship docked.

In the queue, a young man in his twenties stood beside a man in his forties.

"Kid, what's this? Didn't you used to say this was wrong with the country, that was wrong with the country? Why were you cheering the loudest just now?" the middle-aged man teased with a smile.

"Brother Wang, I didn't understand before. But after today, I think I'll love my country even more." The young man was not embarrassed. He glanced at the striking national flag in the distance and spoke seriously.

The middle-aged man froze for a moment, then said with feeling, "Yeah. I think we'll all love our country more from now on, because only at a time like this can we understand what our homeland truly means. This experience nearly got me killed, but if I had to choose, I think I'd still choose to go through it again. Because only now have I understood so many things I never understood in life before. Now, I understand them all."

"Come on, kid. A lot of us may have lost years' worth of hard work here, but although we've lost much, we've gained even more!" The middle-aged man picked up his luggage and called out loudly.

"Brother, well said! We lost a lot, but we gained even more!" Clearly, others in the line had heard him as well and shouted their agreement.
