As the country's highest military institution, the National Defense University was naturally beyond comparison with ordinary military academies. It was not a place ordinary people could enter.

Jiang Yan Hai had arrived at just the right time. March 15 was the enrollment date for a new batch of trainees.

The training periods for mid- and senior-ranking officers here varied, ranging from six months to one, two, or three years.

So its academic schedule could not possibly be the same as that of an ordinary university.

Moreover, they were all soldiers, so registration was different from ordinary university enrollment as well. After Jiang Yan Hai showed the notice in his hand to the guard at the school gate, the guard immediately saluted him.

"Greetings, sir! After you enter, please report to the parade ground outside Teaching Building No. 2. The registration point is there," the guard said at once.

Jiang Yan Hai returned the salute, then slung a backpack over his shoulder, carried another bag in his hand, and headed straight for Teaching Building No. 2.

He had already memorized the entire map of the National Defense University. He could have reached his destination with his eyes closed.

When Jiang Yan Hai arrived at Teaching Building No. 2, he saw a large group of soldiers outside. There were probably nearly two hundred of them standing in neat formation.

Several tables had been set up in front of them, where people were presumably handling registration. But what exactly was this...

After pausing for a moment, Jiang Yan Hai simply walked past the side of the formation. A major was standing at its front, lecturing the soldiers.

"Let me tell you this: I know every one of you is an outstanding officer in your respective units! But what kind of place is this?!
