Jiang Yan Hai did not move recklessly. He waited until Li Ruo Bai had slept a little longer, until her breathing had steadied and she had fallen fully asleep. Only then did he gently reach out from beside her and lift her into his arms.
As long as you were strong enough and careful enough, lifting someone would not necessarily wake them. Jiang Yan Hai used his foot to lift the blanket on the bed, then gently laid her back down.
He carefully removed the slippers from her feet, revealing her fair, tender little feet. Her slender toes were as crystalline as jade beads, painted with a light pink nail polish that made them look especially adorable.
After gently covering her with the blanket, Jiang Yan Hai tiptoed over and closed the bedroom door before leaving.
Outside, he checked the kitchen. The refrigerator contained only fresh fruit, beverages, beer, and nothing else.
It looked like cooking was out of the question. If he was going to be staying here himself, he would have to have the place stocked with some supplies. There did not need to be much, but whenever Li Ruo Bai came over, he had to be able to cook for her.
Cooking required talent, too. Jiang Yan Hai's talent was decent. Some people could be given complete ingredients and precise cooking times, yet still fail to make a proper meal.
Others only needed to follow a cooking video once to produce something with perfect color, aroma, and flavor.
Still, with the Intermediate Analysis System, even the most difficult dishes should come out eight or nine parts right in Jiang Yan Hai's hands. He had considered going downstairs to buy groceries, but if he left and she woke up to find him gone, that would not be good.
