A pale violet Rune overflowed from Ciri's hand. She was using illusion magic to create a sky full of stars above the stage.
"Why is the original singer of this song called Coldplay?" Ciri held the sheet music for the Black-robed One's song in her other hand.
It clearly listed the original performer as "Coldplay." Ciri could at least pronounce the names of the songs Joshua had brought out before, names like Taylor, Sia, and Cheating Boy, which sounded like nicknames.
But she simply could not understand this name at all.
"Because it's the name of a band," Joshua said.
"A band? An ensemble?"
Ciri fell silent for a moment. Other than Joshua's relatives, she had spent the longest time by his side.
Joshua often came up with ideas shocking enough to leave people speechless, and Ciri could still dismiss them as "leaps in thought." But whenever it came to the songs and film scripts Joshua thought up, he always described them as the work of "great predecessors."
Yet Ciri had never even heard the names of the authors and composers written on them! So who exactly were they?
That question had always been buried in Ciri's heart, but she had never intended to ask Joshua about it.
Ciri stared at Joshua beside her, but his gaze remained fixed on the stage.
Joshua was not worried that something unexpected would happen, nor was he afraid that the Black-robed One would ruin the performance. He was simply enjoying the show—or rather, the song.
"You can sing it too?"
Seeing Joshua quietly mouthing the lyrics, Ciri could not help interrupting his attention.
"Of course not... If my singing ability were measured as a skill level, it would probably be negative. There's no way I could make it sound this good." Joshua shook
