Impression Space (Third Update!)

When Joshua's consciousness sank into the World Tree once again, he did not enter the space where he could "build a server." Instead, he returned to the Bone Duke's castle.

"Could it be that the High Elves' sacred tree has a Teleportation Portal connected to the Demon Realm?"

Joshua looked around the corridor, then walked to the window and gazed at the forest outside. He quickly dismissed the idea that this was the Demon Realm.

This was indeed a castle, and its interior decorations were very similar to the Bone Duke's castle, but the scenery of the forest was completely different.

The Bone Duke's Misty Forest truly was a forest inhabited by the undead. Even during the day, Will-o'-the-Wisps could be seen drifting everywhere.

But the forest outside merely looked exceptionally quiet under the cover of night, without the slightest eerie feeling. More importantly... Joshua saw that part of the forest had broken away.

This land seemed to be floating in a void.

"This music."

Joshua heard music playing from the other end of the corridor. After thinking carefully, he realized it was the music used when Belle and the Demon Prince danced in Beauty and the Demon.

"Is this the castle from Beauty and the Demon?" Joshua finally came to that terrifying conclusion.

"Beauty and the Demon?"

The white bird appeared before Joshua again, and its presence eased much of the unease in his heart.

At the very least, Joshua could be sure that he was inside the World Tree's consciousness rather than having somehow ended up in another world again.

"What exactly is going on here?"

Joshua pointed at the empty scene outside the window. This did not look like the World Tree's Consciousness Space.

"This is where the consciousness of every living being in the world gathers."
