My Cats and Bird Can Code

Joshua awakened a new skill, one that every programmer dreamed of—or perhaps could call a nightmare.

Coding in his dreams.

"Even my dreams won't leave me alone?"

Joshua looked at the pure white mental space around him. This was the consciousness of a World Tree, though he had no idea which World Tree it was specifically.

"Your body and mind are still resting, Child of the Forest."

The High Elf World Tree's consciousness appeared before Joshua. This white bird's feathers were much fuller than before.

The white cat and Black Cat also appeared in the Consciousness Space shortly afterward...

"Whose Consciousness Space am I in right now?"

The World Tree's Consciousness Spaces were all basically pure white. Sometimes, Joshua truly could not tell the difference between this bird and the two cats.

"It is our shared consciousness." The white bird pointed a wing at the white cat beside it. "My kin told me that you needed something called 'computing power.'"

"Computing power?"

"I understand it as the ability to construct Runes. You used a vast number of Runes to create the magic net, as well as those games."

The white bird flapped its wings, and the pure white Consciousness Space around them suddenly changed. Countless magic net interfaces appeared throughout the surrounding space.

"After our consciousnesses merged, we gradually came to understand the Rune language you use," the white bird said.

An artificial intelligence uprising?

That was the first thing Joshua thought of.

As the magic net's servers—and servers with self-awareness at that—it would be easy for the World Trees to understand how the magic net had been constructed.

Fortunately... the Magic Automatons of this world were not powered by the magic net.
