Building an Amusement Park

"Is no one willing to take on this project?"

Joshua sat in the study of Hearthstone tavern, looking at the blueprints piled across his desk.

Holy Spirit's online Preliminary Competition had been underway for nearly a week, and sixteen teams had emerged so far.

During that time, Joshua had gone from being a programmer to a... construction engineer.

"The heads of many Craftsmen Guilds in Nolan believe that your ideas..." Madam Ma Linna paused briefly before deciding to tell the truth. "Are those of a madman."

That was absolutely the sort of answer that would anger the person involved. Even though the words had come from someone else, Madam Ma Linna had not chosen to soften them.

Having helped Joshua manage the company for so long, she knew perfectly well that he was not someone who lost his temper over such a trivial matter.

"A madman? Building a huge wheel, then hanging iron boxes from it for people to sit in—of course that sounds like a joke to you."

Joshua looked at the first design on his desk.

It was a blueprint for an attraction found in every amusement park on Earth... a Ferris Wheel.

With zero knowledge of construction, Joshua had only drawn a rough sketch and casually noted the functions of the attraction.

As for how it would be built and what materials should be used... Joshua could only leave those matters to the craftsmen of this world.

Joshua was not joking when he said he wanted to turn the Forgotten Land in Aserkelo into an Amusement Park—a themed amusement park, at that.

"But I am serious, Madam Ma Linna. Is there really no one willing to take this job?"
