Elder Queitoan held a longbow aimed at the distant rock wall, magic power gathering in his right hand and extending all the way to the bowstring drawn by his fingertips.
When Elder Queitoan released the bowstring, the arrow tore through the air beside his cheek and pierced straight through the distant stone wall.
Elder Queitoan glanced at his fingers. Blood was already seeping from his fingertips from drawing the bow too many times.
It had been a long time since he had practiced archery with such intensity as he had today.
Elder Queitoan was doing this to vent his frustration.
Yesterday, he had happened upon a book on the Spellcaster Forum, a book called Heretic Inquisitor's Diary.
This book revealed the true face of the organization known as the Hall of Inquisition to Elder Queitoan.
It also prompted Elder Queitoan to begin investigating everything related to the Hall of Inquisition on the magic net.
And today, the true reason for Aserkelo's destruction a thousand years ago had finally appeared before Elder Queitoan.
He had once believed that those detestable humans were the ones who had turned his people into monsters...
But it was impossible for the few remaining High Elves to seek revenge against humanity, and reason told Elder Queitoan... he should not spread his hatred to the entire human race.
