What he regretted most was that his character in World Rift had not reached level twenty-five, and he had not even had the chance to equip the Bane Ring.
But regret was useless now. He was about to die.
Short Touch Wand had been dragged onto the deck of a merchant ship by that man. He clutched his abdomen beside the rail as bone-deep pain radiated from his stomach.
A blank-faced man stood before him, blood dripping from the blade of the longsword in his hand.
The other man had run his sword straight through Short Touch Wand's abdomen. Short Touch Wand felt that his internal organs were beyond saving. He probably had only a few minutes left to live.
As Short Touch Wand waited in despair for the man to finish him off with his sword, a woman's voice sounded beside his ear.
"Where did you teleport the vessel?"
The vessel? Short Touch Wand kept breathing heavily. In his dimming vision, only the Magic Web interface remained. He could no longer be bothered with what these assassins wanted.
