The already unstable pocket dimension collapsed under the loss of control over its energy. The dim corridors and eerie classrooms filled with gusts of cold wind shattered like broken glass. The scene around us reverted to the rooftop, and as the normal night view reappeared, the abnormal things rapidly took shape in the air as well.
The shattered corridors and classrooms did not scatter away on the wind after breaking apart. Instead, they twisted and fused together, swiftly forming new things: several-meter-tall utility knives, enormous compasses, giant burning textbooks, black specters, and massive heads rolling across the ground while constantly dripping filthy blood. These shapes were all pieced together from corridor fragments, as though wrapped in a colorful jigsaw puzzle of torn newspapers. A compass nearly four meters long swept past me, carving a gash into the rooftop's concrete that nearly pierced through it. It showed that although these things came from illusion, they possessed enough power to damage reality.
Especially that gigantic head, which wailed and cried while looking horrifying and revolting. I had no idea what kind of horror story it came from, but the way it rolled along while oozing pus not only damaged the real world, but also ruined everyone's mood—so much so that even the Skeleton Mages could not stand its disgusting appearance. They waved their staffs and went up to roast it.
Disgusting, bizarre, and incredibly destructive—but that was all. Compared to a group of surreal special forces, these massive anomalies were nothing but living targets. Twenty elite Skeleton Mages from the Savior Army began unleashing dense volleys of Bone Spears and Shadow Arrows, tearing those strange things into scraps that filled the sky. The Death Knights' longswords flashed as they chopped specters apart as easily as cutting vegetables. Reimu and the other two
