(I think it's time to ask for monthly votes again!!! Also, I've been dealing with home renovations lately. Honestly, I'm half-dead from it, and I might have to pause at any time... Just giving you fair warning...)
Facts proved that all Shilin Apostles, fallen or otherwise, shared at least one trait: they risked their lives without hesitation, spared no expense in risking their own, and were even better at risking others'. Wherever the Shilin Army fought, once both sides reached a fever pitch, all kinds of near-suicidal and ferocious tactics came into full play.
One major reason was that elite Shilin Apostles did not fear death. As long as there was a medium-sized ship or larger nearby, there would be a Regeneration Factory, and they could revive as many times as they liked. The other reason was that these beings were born war maniacs. They would pay any price for victory. If they could revive, they launched suicide attacks. If they could not, they still would not hesitate—just like the Fallen Apostle warships before us.
To achieve the effect of a surprise attack, the first wave of enemy forces had all been small warships. Those ships had no ability to carry Regeneration Factories, and because of the Empire Fleet's massive interference zone, almost none of the souls of fallen Fallen Apostle soldiers could be uploaded intact. Yet they still attacked the Imperial defense line with savage ferocity, tearing one terrifying gap after another into our defenses with massive casualties of their own. Before this, aside from the battle at the Great Nebula, I had rarely seen Imperial forces suffer losses on such an organized scale in a frontal battlefield. Against warships of exactly equal rank, both sides' vessels were being consumed by the second, like spacecraft from ordinary civilizations.
