Background

Sasuke is a Konoha genin and the surviving member of the Uchiha Clan known to him. The Uchiha Clan Downfall Night, carried out by his brother Itachi, leaves him fixated on revenge and highly vulnerable to anger whenever Itachi or the massacre is mentioned. 167 213

He initially distrusts Richard, viewing Richard’s intervention on Zabuza’s behalf as evidence that he may support rogue ninja. Sasuke also instinctively dislikes village defectors because of Itachi’s betrayal. 165
