"Hard to say."

As soon as Su Bai said that, Chen Yusheng couldn't help pursing her lips.

Xue Tao talked louder than anyone else. He had even put up a note saying "study your ass off," but whether he could actually stick with it was anyone's guess.

Leaning back in his chair, Chu Mingzhe shook his head and sighed.

"I'd say Tao's enthusiasm will last three minutes at most."

"Bullshit!"

Xue Tao snapped his textbook shut, looking thoroughly unconvinced.

"I'm serious this time! Huang Ran and I already agreed that I have to seriously improve my grades this semester!"

Wang Haoran pushed up his glasses.

"Get through the first class before you start talking."

"Who are you looking down on?"

Xue Tao immediately got fired up.

"I'm not even going back to the dorm to game at noon today. I'm going straight to the cafeteria, then I'll keep studying after I eat!"

Chu Mingzhe looked astonished.

"Damn, eating at the cafeteria counts as part of your study plan now?"

"What do you know? Keeping a regular schedule is part of studying too."

"Fine, fine. You're always right."

While they were bickering, the instructor entered the classroom carrying a stack of textbooks.

Xue Tao hurriedly straightened his books and sat upright, looking genuinely determined to work hard.

Su Bai found it amusing, but didn't tease him further.

The class passed quickly.

The moment the bell rang, the previously quiet classroom became lively.

Some students clutched their books and rushed out, some lowered their heads to check their phones, and others were already discussing what to eat for lunch.

Chu Mingzhe stretched and turned to ask, "Brother Bai, where are we going for lunch? That barbecue rice place off campus?"

"No."

Su Bai packed away his laptop and turned to Chen Yusheng.
