A nourishing feast and stir-fried crab

Binhai's old street was just a short distance from the pier.

Night had fallen, and the damp sea breeze swept toward them, carrying the briny scent of the ocean and the bustle of evening life.

Yu Ou led the way with practiced ease, taking the three of them through two narrow flagstone alleys to a seaside food stall.

Simple neon lights glowed on its red plastic sign. Inside, a dozen or so folding round tables were almost all occupied.

The rich aromas of garlic sizzling in hot oil and spicy sauces filled the air. Loud conversations mingled with the clatter of woks, creating a lively, down-to-earth atmosphere.

Three tiers of large seafood tanks were neatly arranged outside the entrance.

Aerators sent dense streams of bubbles gurgling through the water, where live groupers swam among mud crabs waving their enormous claws, palm-sized tiger prawns, and plump abalone and oysters clinging to the glass.

"Mr. Su, this is the place."

Yu Ou pointed at the large tanks outside and introduced the restaurant with a smile.

"It might not look like much, but their seafood comes straight off the fishing boats every afternoon. It's as fresh as it gets, and their veteran chef is one of the best on this street."
