Background / History

Roman was originally a transmigrated soul living in Konoha near the end of the Third Great Ninja War. He survived as a struggling handicraft vendor, selling items such as palm-leaf grasshoppers, straw sandals, and other low-quality crafts. Having lived for more than a decade as an ordinary person, he had accepted a powerless life before meeting Hinata Hyuga. 1

His encounter with Hinata reveals that they are reincarnated fragments of the same original soul. Their eye contact triggers shared memories and a profound sensation of being one another's “other half.” Hinata brings him into the Hyuga estate, where he becomes dependent on her protection despite Hiashi Hyuga's suspicions. 1 3 4

Roman and Hinata later discover the Chaos Hall, a realm above black mist centered on the ninety-nine-seat Table of Destiny. Its purpose is to gather the original Roman's soul fragments, dispersed across worlds after a “Dayun Heavy Truck” shattered the original soul.
