Although some Prison Players had already approached the plateau where the Eternal Altar stood,
Li Miao was still on the road.
The Candlelight Spirit Steed beneath him galloped tirelessly, stretching everything around them into linear afterimages.
Compared to other skills such as Dodge and block, the Candlelight Spirit Steed, a Candle Spirit ability, had a relatively low profile.
After all, players spent most of their time exploring dungeons, often needing to inspect every corner and shadow. Naturally, they had less need to travel at speed.
Even so, Li Miao had invested quite a few resources into it, believing it was better to be prepared.
Sure enough, it was proving immensely useful now.
The enhanced Candlelight Spirit Steed was incredibly fast and possessed astonishing endurance. It even far exceeded the top speed of vehicles such as the Ghost Ship. It could traverse steep slopes as if they were level ground, completely unaffected.
This was Li Miao's first time experiencing such breakneck, all-out travel.
Of course, there were some terrains and obstacles that even the Candlelight Spirit Steed found difficult to cross.
But for Li Miao, who possessed the Body of Radiance and all sorts of items and tools, those were hardly obstacles. They merely required a little extra time.
And in order to reach the Eternal Altar quickly without wasting any time,
Li Miao did not stop even when he encountered many strange things along the way, choosing to pass them by directly.
Yet even so, he still had not caught sight of the Eternal Altar.
This made Li Miao hesitate somewhat.
----I've been running for so long that, converted into real distance, I've probably crossed several provinces by now----
And I still haven't even seen a trace of the Eternal Altar.
*I know I've crossed over into a bygone era,
